We entered India on July 7, 1977 near Wagan and drove via Amaritsar and Jammu to Srinigar. We left Srinigar on the 12th and drove to Drass where the truck broke down. Some of us hitched up to Leh while waiting for parts for the truck. We finally left Drass on July 25th and drove to Delhi. We spent a couple of nights in Delhi and then drove to Agra and on to Banares (Varanasi). From there we drove north via Gorakpur and Butwal headed for Nepal.
